I was not near the ‘totality’ of the eclipse - I think in the mid 70 percent’s here. It definitely got dimmer - an odd type of light - but not dark.
Apparently, in 2024 an eclipse will hit this area where I can sit on my porch and get to 98% of totality... Maybe another painting will be had ;)

I admit I have been somewhat obsessed with the subsurface scattering/translucency lately - I guess all those years of sharing a flashlight through my hand weren’t as much of a waste of time as I thought! ;)
